Description:

BMS (Battery Management System) a battery management system that is designed to monitor the status of batteries, control the process of charging/discharging the battery, etc. 

Two batteries (18650) can be connected simultaneously to the HX-2S-D20 charge-discharge controller module.

The module has protection against short circuit, overcharge and over-discharge.

One of the functions of the charge controller is to turn off the power supply for the batteries when the maximum capacity of at least one battery is reached.

This BMS controller is designed for more than 30,000 hours of operation. The maximum allowable current is 8 A.

Features:

1. Supports 2-Cell (2S) Lithium Battery Packs

   • Designed for 7.4V nominal battery packs using Li-ion or Li-polymer cells.

2. Overcharge Protection

   • Prevents cell damage by cutting off charging when voltage exceeds ~4.25V per cell.

3. Over-discharge Protection

   • Automatically disconnects the load when voltage drops below ~2.5V per cell to protect batteries.

4. Overcurrent Protection

   • Cuts off output if the current exceeds safe limits (~8A), protecting batteries and load.

5. Short Circuit Protection

   • Rapid shutdown in case of output short circuit.

6. Compact & Lightweight

   • Small PCB size, ideal for compact DIY and portable battery applications.

7. Automatic Recovery

   • BMS resumes operation automatically once normal conditions are restored (no need to reset manually).

8. Balance Charging (in some versions)

   • Keeps both cells equally charged for longer battery life and safety.

9. Wide Compatibility

   • Works with 18650 cells, Li-ion pouch cells, or similar lithium-based chemistries.

10. Max Continuous Discharge Current

    • Up to 8A; suitable for low to medium power devices.
